Seggiano Cherry Tomato Salsa
Seggiano's organic salsa is made from the Marasca variety of cherry tomato, farmed in high summer on the coastal plains near Siracusa in Southern Sicily.
Unlike other passatas or tomato salsas which can be bitter or acidic, this is perfectly balanced and ready to make into soups, pasta sauces and pizzas. It can be used as the base in a multitude of dishes, and is one store cupboard staple we wouldn't be without.
Unlike other tomato salsas grown under plastic in greenhouses, these tomatoes are sun-ripened in the fields, as nature intended.
