We wanted Idle Hands to be a place to find great, freshly made bread, patisserie, cakes and coffee, more akin to European bakeries and coffee shops than the traditional Scottish one.

Piero knew the coffee had to be great, with the same kick you'd find in Italy. We use speciality beans, roasted in Florence.

Morven's specialities are violet eclairs, choux buns, strawberry tarts and light cream cakes.

We offer a wide variety of bread and freshly made breakfast pastries each weekend, and a good selection of interesting international and locally found groceries and provisions, charcuterie, cheese and meze.

In addition to the things we make with our own hands, we work with other artisan suppliers to bring award-winning savoury pies, cheese, biscuits, cakes and delicacies to our counter.
